The global food and beverage industry is gearing up for a major convergence in Bangkok as THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA prepares to open its doors in May 2025. This premier trade exhibition will transform the Thai capital into a hub for cutting-edge F&B innovations, with a special emphasis on functional foods, emerging markets, and cross-border sourcing opportunities that reflect the sector’s rapid evolution.
Scheduled to run from May 27-31 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, the event will assemble over 3,100 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, alongside 2,000 hosted buyers and an anticipated 90,000 trade visitors. New participants from Central Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe will join established players, while dedicated pavilions from Australia, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands will enhance global networking and procurement prospects.
A key highlight of the 2025 edition is the growing influence of halal-certified products, which dominate nearly 20% of exhibitor offerings. Beyond traditional certification, these innovations intersect with major industry trends—think plant-based nutrition, functional wellness foods, and ready-to-drink convenience. The Halal Showcase will serve as a focal point, streamlining discovery for buyers and reinforcing halal’s role in shaping global F&B standards.
According to Mathias Kuepper of Koelnmesse, the event is becoming a launchpad for AI-driven and consumer-responsive product development. With Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion and the Thai Chamber of Commerce as co-organizers, THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025 promises to set the agenda for the future of food—blending tradition with next-generation innovation.
