Koperasi Tabung Haji Berhad has unveiled Haqqi Mall, a groundbreaking digital marketplace designed to cater to the growing demand for halal-certified products and services. This innovative platform goes beyond traditional e-commerce by integrating shariah-compliant standards across diverse sectors, including fashion, healthcare, and professional services.
The platform sets itself apart through rigorous verification processes, with all vendors required to meet halal standards certified by Malaysia’s Department of Islamic Development. Nazif Md Arif, KTHB’s deputy chairman, emphasized that transparency is a core principle, allowing consumers to verify halal certifications for every product listed.
A key focus of Haqqi Mall is supporting local businesses, particularly SMEs, by providing them with broader market access. The cooperative plans to onboard 300 small and medium enterprises while offering its 1,100 members opportunities to expand competitively. Strategic partnerships with JAKIM’s Halal Hub Division and Serunai Commerce ensure vendors receive guidance through the certification process.
Beyond commerce, the platform serves an educational role by raising awareness about halal standards in non-food sectors. It also welcomes non-Muslim consumers who value the quality and ethical assurance of halal-certified goods. The official launch took place at SSF Home Garden Outlet in Shah Alam, marking a significant step in Malaysia’s digital halal economy.
